Distributor days

Between Monday, June 10, 2024, and Wednesday, June 12, 2024, the "Distributor days" event took place at LEUNA-Harze GmbH in the form of a product training session. Sixteen distributors from nine different regions of Europe visited the chemical site in Leuna. During an intensive training session, two groups each completed a theoretical and practical introduction to the chemistry of epoxys and Epilox® products of LEUNA-Harze GmbH. The theoretical understanding of the chemical and physical background of epoxy resins, reactive diluents, and hardeners was further solidified in hands-on experiments in the laboratory through mixing, measuring, and evaluating the tests.

During the dinners on Monday and Tuesday, experiences regarding region specific market situations and information on product applications were exchanged among the individual representatives. Additionally, all attendees took the opportunity to get to know each other on a personal level and establish new contacts.

On Wednesday, in addition to the evaluation of the laboratory experiments, a bus tour of the entire chemical park was conducted by InfraLeuna GmbH. The companies located in the Leuna works were presented, and future projects in the chemical park were discussed. This was followed by a guided tour through the Bisphenol F and epoxy resin plant of LEUNA-Harze GmbH, where the distributors gained an impression of the complex production practices. After lunch at the cCe Kulturhaus Leuna, the certificates for successful participation in the training were presented to the individual distributors.

We thank the distributors for their willingness to learn, their commitment, and their motivation to deepen their existing knowledge in the field of epoxy resins and to share new insights with customers in the future. Further thanks go to InfraLeuna GmbH for organizing the bus tour through the Leuna chemical site, the cCe Kulturhaus Leuna for providing lunch, I. Edel for organizing hotels and restaurants, all other employees of LEUNA-Harze GmbH who contributed to the implementation, and CEO K. Paur for the opportunity to realize the project.
